Wenamen was an official of Ramesses XI (1100-1070 B.C.) who wrote he Report of Wenamon.The Story of Wenamun' is preserved on a papyrus which was purchased in Cairo in 1891 and is now in Moscow. I believe that The Story of Wenamun is fiction. I believe this because it talks about different kinds of Gods. But we as Christians belive that there is only one God. I believe that Wenamen is trustworthy and a good person. I also belive that is is historical fiction because it involves historical people. He lived in Egypt .There is not one period of Ancient Egyptian civilization, but really three periods prompt with two periods in which the kingdom was passed, restructured, and then rose again.Pyramids were constructed, and also the use of irrigation to tame the Nile River is significant in Egyptian history.The Egyptian civilization developed along the Nile River.Surely the pharaohs, Egyptian kings, did not do their own farming.Egyptians with time developed systems of irrigation to enhance the effects of the Nile's flooding.No one is totally certain how the Egyptians were able to construct the massive pyramids that served a burial tombs for the pharaohs, but we know that the Egyptians knew some practical math.The three periods of Egyptian kingdoms are called the Old Kingdom, the Middle Kingdom, and the New Kingdom.Most other pharaohs tombs were robbed for the gold and precious gems placed in the tomb for the dead pharaohs use in the afterworld.Week 3)
